What Spurs Can Achieve This Season?

oldposter

Tottenham have started the season as a copy of last year, even in many games picking up the same results as a year ago. 4-0 at Britannia is one example, a late winner at Crystal Palace another and being held to a draw at home to Liverpool a third. BettingTips4you.com have provided a full analysis and the best tips on Spurs season.

Last year that form took them all the way to title challengers and the question is of course how far it can take the team this year.

Before we get carried away I think we will have to accept that the Premier League – and especially the top of it – will be much stronger this season and a copy of last years’ performances won’t take you as far this year.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool are all better teams this season and Chelsea won’t be struggling down the middle of the table.

Tottenham’s big plus is their way of continuously getting the important points against “teams you should beat” where others have struggled. Yet I think that much will be down to how they perform in the big games this season and if we look back to the Liverpool game they didn’t even control that at home – and was actually the team that could celebrate the point while Liverpool could be disappointed. ¨

I think Tottenham will compete with Liverpool and Arsenal for the 4’th spot and in my book it’s an all even race among the three. Maybe with Liverpool as a little bit of outside favourite with the Londoneers playing the Champions League as well.

But if Son, Eriksen, Lamela and Kane gets it going they will of course possess a threat to anyone.

No matter the outcome of the season when we conclude it in nine months’ time the next task for Spurs is to play David Moyes’ Sunderland.

Black Cats haven’t got it going this year (as usual during the start of a campaign) and here’s another chance for the white pride of north London to prove their worth.

Kane scored an important goal (for himself) against Stoke and could well be seeing himself score a few more here.

I think Tottenham will have an easy cruise to victory and I’ll be betting on Spurs to be leading at half time and to keep that all the way to the end.
